Movie storyline: A CIA specialist, the "Hero", takes part in an extraction activity at a Kyiv show house. A veiled trooper wearing a red knickknack saves his life by "un-discharging" a slug through a shooter. In the wake of holding onto an antiquity, the Protagonist is caught by hired fighters. He is tormented prior to devouring what he accepts to be a self destruction pill. He stirs to gain proficiency with the self destruction pill was a trial of unwaveringness and that the relic was lost.
The Protagonist is enlisted by an association called Tenet. A researcher briefs him on slugs with "reversed" entropy, which means they go in reverse through time. She accepts they are produced later on, and other reversed items appear to be leftovers of a conflict later on. The Protagonist meets his controller, Neil, through a CIA contact, and they follow the reversed projectiles to arms vendor Priya Singh in Mumbai. They discover that Priya is an individual from Tenet, and her cartridges were bought and upset by Russian oligarch Andrei Sator.
In London, the Protagonist moves toward Sator's offended spouse Kat, a workmanship appraiser who erroneously confirmed a manufactured Goya drawing. She reveals to him that Sator bought the drawing from the counterfeiter, Arepo, and is utilizing Kat's validation as coercion to control her in their relationship. The Protagonist and Neil plot to take the drawing from a freeport storage space at the Oslo Airport. There they fight off two concealed men who apparently rise up out of an unusual gadget. A short time later, Priya clarifies that the gadget is a gate, a machine that can rearrange the entropy of articles and individuals, and that the veiled men were a similar individual going in inverse ways through time.
