Greenland (2020) Movie storyline:
Structural engineer John Garrity lives in Atlanta, Georgia along with his estranged wife, Allison, and their diabetic son, Nathan. He returns home to look at the near-earth passing of a recently-determined interstellar comet named "Clarke", alongside along with his own family and acquaintances.
While on the grocery store, John gets an automated DHS message announcing that he and his own family had been decided on for emergency sheltering. He then returns domestic just as a comet fragment is visible coming into the atmosphere on live tv. Previously predicted to land within the ocean near Bermuda, the fragment rather strikes Tampa, Florida, vaporizing it along side maximum of the country. John then receives a call with instructions to go to Robins Air Force Base for an evacuation flight, as Clarke is on an instantaneous collision path with Earth and the complete planet might be bombarded with hundreds of fragments over the following two days in a cataclysmic event, with one fragment huge sufficient to reason an extinction-stage occasion. John, Allison, and Nathan p.C. Up and flee, not able to take everyone else with them as they might be denied boarding.
