Prestige (2006) Movie storyline: In 1890s London, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden fill in as shills for an entertainer under the mentorship of John Cutter, a designer who plans stage wizardry. During a water tank stunt, Angier's better half Julia neglects to get away and suffocates. Angier, crushed, blames Borden for utilizing a less secure bunch, causing her passing. At the point when Angier asks Borden which hitch he utilized, Borden claims not to know. The two become unpleasant adversaries.
Angier and Borden dispatch their own wizardry vocations, with Angier working with Cutter, and Borden with the strange Fallon. Angier undermines one of Borden's exhibitions when he slips a genuine slug into Borden's gun during a projectile catch stunt, bringing about Borden losing two of his fingers. Borden responds by subverting Angier's vanishing bird act, killing the bird in front of an audience and harming a volunteer from the crowd.
